Why did Nordic Pure change the name for MERV 6, Pure Green air filter line, to Poly Green?
We’re excited to share an update on our eco-conscious product line. Nordic Pure has rebranded its MERV 6 “Pure Green” filters to “Poly Green.” This change aligns the product more closely with industry terminology, reflecting the use of polyester materials in the filter media, and will also help you find the products you need more easily.

Polyester (poly) filters are effective due to several key qualities:
- Durability: The synthetic fibers resist moisture and mold, making them ideal for HVAC systems.
- Multi-layer design: Polyester filters often use layered fibers for better depth loading, trapping both large and small particles.
- Eco-friendliness: Poly filters incorporate recycled materials, offering a sustainable option.
- Consistent performance: They maintain airflow while capturing dust, pollen, pet dander, and other allergens.
Rest assured, the filters you love—made from recycled materials and biodegradable frames—are just as eco-friendly as ever. This name update simply makes our sustainable filters easier to search for and identify.
